Year 5

Cuckoo Class and Owl Class

 

Welcome to year 5, the penultimate year of your child's primary education. This year your child will embed their use of formal calculation methods in maths, and use them to help them solve a range of problems. They will learn more about the world through their geography topics on globalisation, the oceans and earthquakes. They will link their learning in humanities to work in English - making Anglo-saxon honey cakes and writing instructions explaining how to do it. They also start thinking about their futures spending a day at Intouniversity at their centre in nearby Tower Gardens Park.
